As working 9 to 5 and Monday to Friday person I am glad such service exists so I can get help I need when I need without spending hours in A&E

It took quite a while from my initial call to be contacted by the OOH service but I do appreciate that you are very busy. I was in pain and frightened so probably felt more vulnerable.

Not sure what answer you are asking me to explain.

I was told by the gp who rang me to go ovwr my symptoms and blood test results to wait for an appointment to come through from the hospital as they wanted to rule out cancer. If I had not rang the hospital after 2 weeks to see when my appoinyments would come through, I would still be waiting 4 weeks later as the nurse who I spoke to told me that it would never have came through as they do not organise appointments for x rays and that she has informed the gp surgerys multiple times about this, it is a drop in service after you have had a referral. This I believe is extremely worrying as if anything sinister is to be going on with anyone, every day wasted could mean a bad outcome from whichever diagnosis they recieve. I do believe these gps and docotors and nurses act with compassion but information like this should never be missed.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The doctor was very professional and explained what was wrong with me and the follow up care I needed.

The consultation I had with the out of hours doctor at Ormskirk Emergency Out of Hours was very good. The doctor was polite and caring. Made me feel comfortable.

When I rang 111 they said they would send an ambulance as my husbands oxygen levels were 68. We then got a call from a lady at the ambulance service who spoke to my husband and said he didn’t need an ambulance! She did say she would get the out of hours gp to call us. I was very disappointed with this person as when my husband eventually got to hospital he was extremely ill. Next time my husband is ill I will just ring 999. There was no problem with 111 just the lady who rang from the ambulance service.
